Albertina Museum`s Director General Ralph Gleis poses next to a large sculpture created by German conceptual artist Ottmar Hoerl of the `Young Hare` by German Renaissance painter Albrecht Duerer (1471-1528) before it is lifted onto the roof of The Albertina Museum for the museum`s 250th anniversary, in Vienna on July 1, 2026. On anniversary weekend, from July 4 till July 5, the Albertina is hosting an open house, with free admission at all three locations. With the exhibition `Collecting for the Future`, which will run from June 19 until October 11, 2026, the museum celebrates its founding 250 years ago. The original `Young Hare` painted by Albrecht Duerer in 1502 will exceptionally be on display during the exhibition.
